There are 2 main issues that arise regarding lost packages. However both of these are easily resolved.



Identifying as soon as possible 


If we can identify when these occur the vast majority of the time we can get on top of it before any ship by date related issues come into play. The following steps are what you can do to prevent lost packages from becoming a problem.


1.) Every time you place an order from a source and that order ships and is delivered the source will send you a delivered email. Place all of your delivered emails into a folder. 


2.) Once a day check all delivered emails that are 2 business days old. 


3.) If you have received a delivered email for an item and that item has not shipped out within  2 business days this is how you can identify orders that may be an issue. When this occurs immediately get a refund from the source and place an order for the item again. 


If the original item does arrive we can always just send the duplicate back to the source for a full refund


It is a good practice to keep an eye on all emails sent by the source. Different sources have different ways of communicating when cancelling an item. If you place an order with multiple items from a source and one item gets cancelled it may be hard to identify when this occurs. Keeping a vigilant eye on the items mentioned in confirmation and tracking emails is always a good idea.


It is also a good practice to go through your orders routinely. By logging into your account on the source you can go to your orders page and see if there are any notifications of items being cancelled. If this is done once a day you will always catch cancelled items far before they become an issue.  




The cost of the item lost

The vast majority of the time even if your tracking says delivered the source will still issue you a full refund if you tell them you have not received it. So for any lost item you should be able to prevent any monetary concerns.
